Champagne Soren: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren is going to join BJP on Friday (August 30). His joining BJP is being seen as a major political upheaval in Jharkhand. The reason for this is that Champai was counted among the close people of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. In such a situation, his joining BJP is no less than a big blow for Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). However, now the biggest question is whether he will be able to save his politics by joining BJP or not.
In fact, earlier this year, Hemant Soren had to resign from the post of CM after being arrested in a money laundering case. After this, he handed over the command of the state to his confidant Champai Soren. Champai ran the government in Jharkhand for five months. During the assembly session in February, he even called himself Hemant Soren Part-2. But when Hemant Soren got bail on June 28, Champai resigned from the post on July 3. Since then, he had been adopting a rebellious tone.
Champai Soren made serious allegations against the party
Initially Champai Soren adopted a rebellious tone, but did not express his views openly. Then on August 18, he raised the issue of neglect being done with him in a social media post. He said that he was insulted while being the CM. He was not even informed about the meetings. Champai said that after so much insult and contempt, I was forced to look for an alternative way. A few days after this, his joining BJP was also confirmed.
Will Champai Soren be able to save his politics by joining BJP?
However, the biggest question right now is whether Champai Soren will be able to save his politics after joining BJP. Political experts have different opinions on this question. But the answer to this question will be found soon, when assembly elections will be held in the state. If he wins the election and forms a camp by winning some MLAs with him, then his politics will be saved and BJP will benefit from it.
If BJP gains or if its government is formed, Champai will definitely benefit. It is also being said that BJP can try to make him equal to Hemant Soren by making him Deputy CM. Apart from this, if he has influence on more seats and those seats come in BJP’s account, then he can also get a big ministry. But if this does not happen, Champai’s political career will be in trouble.
